Why We Serve our Neighbors
When we moved to Minnesota, we didn't know anyone. We found ourselves using food, especially soup, as a way to connect with our new neighbors. We began to cook to connect.
We then started to make soup for people after surgery, new parents, or friends that needed a break. Over time, we saw how sharing a good meal could lift spirits and bring people together.
Luke’s Soups was born from that desire: to nourish our community with food made from the heart, and to make it easier for folks to feel cared for, connected, and well-fed.
Our Soup-er Team

The mastermind behind the flavors

overseeing the flow from kitchen to customer

Luke Healy - Chief Soup Maker
Luke is the heart behind every bowl. With over 20 years of experience in restaurants, cooking, and food production, he brings both skill and soul to the kitchen. Classically trained in French and American cuisine, he’s spent decades perfecting the art of flavor. His true culinary passion? Soup. To Luke, soup is more than comfort food—it’s a complex, creative expression of care. Every batch is thoughtfully crafted with layers of flavor, fresh ingredients, and a whole lot of love.
Dana Healy - Ladles and Logistics
With a background in operations and, nonprofit leadership, she’s spent her career organizing chaos and building strong, connected teams. At Luke’s Soups, she brings that same energy to making sure the soup gets from the kitchen to the community. While her culinary training is mostly in chopping vegetables for Luke or mastering the art of peanut butter and jelly for her kids, her real superpower is helping people feel seen, supported, and well-fed.
The Kiddos - Chief Taste Testers
Our three in-house soup experts, Ryan, Quinn, and Noble, play a big role at Luke’s Soups. Whether they’re slurping chicken noodle or diving into a bowl of sausage and orzo, they make sure every recipe is kid-approved. But their work doesn’t stop at taste testing—they also lend a hand with deliveries and help spread the word about our soups. They bring energy, honesty, and a lot of heart to everything they do (plus a few giggles along the way). If it passes their spoon, you know it’s good.
